Me and my Lincoln School colleagues and Prem Pandit, our awesome Nepali mountain guide at Annapurna Base Camp, Nepal, 2010.
What is it about trekking through mountains that makes a person feel so incredibly alive? I am super excited to be part of the SHS World Challenge India trip currently planned for July, 2014.
Just yesterday, I finally got around to hanging up a newly framed, large size photo of myself watching the sun rise at Annapurna Base Camp three years ago. The sight of soft, golden light expanding over a 360 degree view of the Himalayas is something I will never forget.
To be able to share that beauty again with a group of Sharon High School students on a 23 day expedition is an amazing opportunity. Lakshmi, goddess of good fortune, is surely with me and Dr. Kenner as we begin the initial planning for our World Challenge India adventure. We hope to see the faces of many students and parents at our first informational meeting being held this Thursday evening at 6:00 p.m. in the SHS library.
